1971 Plymouth HEMI Road Runner NASCAR Found on a Field, Has Been Missing for Decades

I found this video to be interesting, but full of inaccuracies. #1: Yes, the #88 Charger Daytona was found at Don White's shop. #2: I don't think this car ever raced in NASCAR. Ramo Stott (pronounced Ray-mo) was an USAC/ARCA/IMCA midwestern driver, so this car did race at Daytona and may have...

    Another shock question

So I had some more time to work on my 1976 Cordoba's rear shocks. So when I got the lower eyelet/bushing on the stud I see this: My question is - Will the bushing compress enough once I get the retainer and bolt on, or do I need to trim back the bushing? Thank you.

    Rear Shock Upper Bolts

I soaked the old bolt in evaporust overnight. It looks like they have a Phosphoric finish on them. Will zinc coated work or should I look for Phosphoric?

    Rear Shock Upper Bolts

Getting the nut off the upper bolt was the easiest part of the removal. I didn't even need to put a wrench on the bolt head. The shank of the bolt was rusted pretty solid to the sleeve. I'm thinking I will spray some Fluid Film (or maybe some white lithium grease) on the new shank and sleeve to...

    Rear Shock Upper Bolts

I am replacing the rear shocks on my 1976 Cordoba. The upper bolts are really rusty. They are so rusty that they only came out of the sleeve after a lot of work. Do I need to use grade 8 bolts? The heads of the old bolts are too rusty to tell if they are marked as grade 8 or not. Thank you.

I just received these from Rockauto. The brand they are listed under is "MEVOTECH." I don't know if they are manufactured here or assembled here, but hopefully they go through Quality Control checks here.

My 1978 Dodge Monaco 4 door sedan.

Great car and great thread! Have you tried changing your oil pressure sending unit. If this is leaking it looks a lot like the rear main seal. Changing the oil pressure sending unit helped a lot on my 360 Cordoba.

Crank, crank, tries to start as the key is released.

From my experience, a bad ICM/ECU has the opposite symptoms from a bad ballast resistor. The BR wants to run in the "start" position and not in the "run". A bad ICM/ECU won't run in "start" but will run in the "run" position.

I have had this problem. Bad ICM/ECU.

    Running out of gas

I also have some chronic aches and pains - although nothing like yours! I recently started going to a massage therapist that specializes in Myofascial release. I have been very pleased with the results. You may want to check this out. It probably won't fix things 100% for you, but it may help to...

76 Cordoba dying at operating temp... help?

I would think an easy place to start would be to connect a spark tester. If you have spark and it won't run look at the carb and a vacuum leak. If there is no spark, I would start with the coil.

    Removing Bumper Fillers

I have also listed this in the "Paint, Exterior, etc" forum but I thought this forum might be a more direct source of information: I am trying to remove the bumper filler from the passenger-side rear bumper of my 1976 Cordoba. Can these be taken off of the car without removing the bumper? I have...

    Cowell Vent Covers

My windshield wipers broke, and I believe that I need to remove these to begin the repair process. Mine are in pretty good shape so I would like to do this properly to give them every chance to survive! What is the proper way to remove them? Thank you!

    78 Monaco turn signal issues

A picture would help, but... Only the three soft pads on each spoke of the wheel sounds the horn. The middle pad is there for style only!! I don't know if this matters but ( I am not good with electrical), the horns are grounded through the mounting bolts. When my 1976 Cordoba with the 3-spoke...
