Got everything back together, PTC converter freshened/repaired($150 + freight) and went to the track yesterday. Car was running good, but the driver was asleep at the tree. lol 11.502 on a 11.50 index and lost ... that's racing :lol:

Does your car have manual or power steering? IIRC, switching from power to manual on my car took off 40#.

It's doable, with some fiberglass parts imo. My 72 Roadrunner is #3645 without me in it. All steel body, Dana 60, 440 w/iron heads, roll bar, factory interior, HVAC system removed and 5 gallons of fuel.

I'd say you had a hectic weekend to say the least. I thought the 3541 DA we had last weekend was bad.

Not my year I guess. lol I don't go to the track every weekend, I will get it up and running in 2-3 weeks.

It wasn't a complete build this last time and the bushing wasn't staked by the individual that did the complete build a few years ago ... an individual that is slowly losing my business due to carelessness. Both pins are in the block. I'm not sure how much damage it did to the pump and I'm going...

I've had a few different things happen over the years, but this is a first. Car was running good, won first round and this kept me from going to round two.

Put the car on a scale a couple days ago, 3860# with driver and 5 gallons of fuel. The Dana 60 added 60# to the car, but I've lost 22# since the first of the year ... lol
