If your goal is a 5-speed with no cutting, the only game in town is Passon. Everything else requires tunnel mods. BUT, if you're willing to do a little cutting:

I guess it depends on how much you want to...
Info from the web:
"I adapted a 1994 Mustang T5 to my 340 engine. I have most of the notes out in the garage. I used the stock bellhousing and had an adapter plate machined to bolt to the bellhousing to accomodate the T5"s bolt pattern and also machined the center hole larger for the T5's...

65". That's pretty wide for an IRS in a B body. I own a 2010 Challenger and it's pretty wide.
Greg
Mustang Cobra is the closest in width and strength.

The first thing that comes into my mind looking at this is the old song "The first cut is the DEEPEST!". The second thing is... "You've got nerves of STEEL!". Thanks for this info! Can't wait for the finish!

This is an old thread, but THIS is my project. Yes, it's an F-body, but....I currently have a 69 B-body 8 3/4 housing in my Volare. The 2003 Cobra IRS is less than 1/2" wider- 61".
The IRS uses the standard Ford 8.8" ring gear but with an aluminum housing.
Food for thought.

No, this isn't my project. There is some more info on the Charger\300 rear suspension here:

The newer Charger\Magnum\300 IRS looks like this:

Another option would be modding a Ford T-bird IRS.
