5spd tranny for 71-72 satellite?

Hey guys do you know of a decent quality 5 or 6spd transmission that fits into the tunnel of a 71-72 Plymouth Satellite without welding, nor screwing up the mounting angles or clearance of the drivetrain? Looking to improve highway mileage significantly without throwing away bottom end performance entirely. In other words something better than a 727 HDTF with gear vendor and 3.23 rear. I plan on running a 360 ci with Holley sniper EFI, daily summer driver. Manual preferred, but auto OK. Would love to hear some ideas!
 
If you get a Tremec TKO 5, don't get an early version. 2008. 2-3 shift issues. Floor pan cut required. Approx 3x3 " if I recall.

If you are my age, the Passon won't be ready until your left leg fails. Ridiculous wait times.
 
I used a Richmond 5 speed, along with changing the rear end, back then I spent about 3500 to make the change. However then the 5 speed used a 3:27 first gear and 1-1 5th gear along with 2:80 rear gears. I still sometimes tried to shift to a higher gear on the highway. I found the gear spacing to work for a good comprise on normal driving. It did not require floor pan mods to work, about everything else though. edit2: Sorry remembered the hole for shifter changed for transmission

Somebody posted on here a few weeks ago about a 5spd out of an early dakota being basically a bolt in. Not the best or most stout choice but it would work for a whole lot less than a passion kit.
 
Honestly as long as you drive it like a sane person I don't think you'll have issues with the dak trans. I actually think it would kinda fun having a 5spd with an old school gear spread.
