Well, over the weekend I scored a set of really nice fenders for the car. I'll likely try to fix the originals and keep them on hand just in case. And the area by the hood hinges is rust free on both of the original fenders.

Here are pictures of both sides damaged at the headlight bezel, the outside surface rust I've been trying to remove, and the deep pitted rust inside the fenders.

yeah, I meant the parts that are spot welded in. i guess its time to sand down the rust and find the spot welds so they can be drilled.
