WTB 1966 Satellite rear bumper brackets

Hi, I’m looking for rear bumper brackets for my 1966 Satellite. Seems my car had an accident at some point in its life and the bracket on one side is out of shape such that the bumper is closer to the body on that side as compared to the other.

    66 Satellite rear bumper brackets

Are the rear bumper brackets on a 66 Satellite interchangeable with any other years or models?

    727 Torqueflite transmission issue

Hello all, A few months ago I replaced the transmission cooling lines and the filter (and gasket) on my 727 tf transmission. After I did so the transmission didn't shift so well at first though it seemed okay after a few drives. The car (66 Satellite) has been put away for the winter though I...

    Freeze plug

I have to replace a freeze plug and I have a question: the replacement one I have is the correct diameter but it's depth is slightly more than the plug it is replacing. I'm not sure the edge will sit flush with the edge of the hole in the block. It's a 318 and the hole is passenger side, closest...

    Bias ply or radials?

Where did you get that compressor? I yanked the old compressor out of my 66 Satellite and was just going to go without. I can't stand the way the old compressor takes up the whole engine bay. Well it looks like it does anyway to me.

    Can someone decifer this VIN?

I didn't think a 150mph speedo would come with a 318 equipped car. I suppose someone could have swapped it but why if you didn't change the engine?

    Can someone decifer this VIN?

This is a photo from a 73 Charger for sale on Craigs for 2500. Looks like it needs some work and the seller doesn't list too much info. The speedo in the car goes up to 150 so I figure it has a big block but don't know.

    Mixing brands question

Thanks, that thread has some good info. I asked the guy what medium he used and he said aluminum oxide. I don't know if it can have the same problems as soda.

Just wondering who carries Transtar paints? I can't seem to find a local shop or dealer that does.

The Professor Won't Be Down For Breakfast

Russell was also in two classic sci-fi movies: It Came from Outer Space and This Island Earth (though he was killed off early in this one). Dave Madden aka Reuben Kincaid on the Partridge Family also died today.

    Mixing brands question

What's the consensus on mixing brands (different primer and paint), is it bad to do? Do some paints not work with some primers? Just wondering because I'm having the doors on a project soda blasted and the guy doing them said he would prime them too. He is going to use Transtar. Will I have a...

Correcting a low spot on a welded in patch panel

Here are some pics. I'm not sure if the low spot is noticeable though. I can feel it and I can see it once I've felt where it is. Its kind of towards the bottom of the quarter panel, a few inches from the wheel well.
