On where Edelbrock heads are made this is from www.edelbrockspeedshop.com.
"Every Edelbrock Cylinder Head is MADE IN USA for quality and performance! Cast and heat treated at the Edelbrock Foundry and machined at Edelbrock’s manufacturing facility in the USA, Edelbrock heads are the best in...
I'm just finishing up on my 426 .040 over. The right pistons will cost you $925 - $950, spend the money! As my machine shop said don't ever go with used piston or rods if you plan on having the engine for any length of time, it'll be a small amount of money compared to the rest of the build.
I also installed Classic Air, works well. Two years now. The only problem was the mounting bracket, all systems are made for 66 or later with the engine mounted a few inches back. I went with Classic because I could use the car's built-in vacuum controls. (I made small computer control to...
I installed a Classic Auto Air in my 1964 Sport Fury, the only problem was the compressor. The mounting hardware is all for 1966 and later. The engine sits back about 2 to 2 1/2 inches 66 and later. Good luck!
Anyone installed a Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI kit on a 1962 – 65 b body? A little worried about hood clearance! Looking at the RB version, model 35910.
Thanks
You got a great price on yours if you got it for $15.00! The person that had it did not know what they had.
If you find one a any swap meet it is almost never less than $150.00 even with many large cracks. I looked for a very long time before I found a good one (image above).

They can be very expensive, after looking for over a year I bought one about 2 months ago for $600.00. I have seen a number $300 - $400, but they all needed to be rebuilt (can cost around $1200.00 for good rebuild if you have a core)
If that is the way Vans Auto is going to work with us, I'm going a different way. In fact I am not sure I want to work with them on anything. There are too many other companies to work with.
Many companies have store fronts and use ebay also, but none of the other try to get as much as they...
My block uses 1/2" pickup, that is why I have the question. Maxwedge.com says the photo is the 817 pickup in a Max Wedge pan.
Here is the text and photo from maxwedge.com:
Mopar Performance came out with a pickup a few years ago, part #P5249817 listed as a 1/2 inch diameter tube for "B" engine...
Has anyone tried this new pan in an early B body yet? On maxwedge.com they say the mopar oil pickup part #P5249817 should fit this pan. Has anyone tried it?
Thank
Mancini maybe pricey BUT they always work! You can not say that about many of the other units for sale.
Some people have to install two or three to get one that works right.
Don't go for cheap, very often you get what you pay for in sending units!
I have a 90 year old neighbor that has a 1975 Coronet he will give away for pickup.
He says he is too old to be working on it and wants someone to take it, he hates to junk it.
The car is complete minus engine and radiator. He also has a number of extra parts.
The parts include a few small...
