    Anothere oil question,,,

I have a 440, stock bore with a cam, dual quads and headers. It also has a Melling HV/HP oil pump and pegs the gauge when the engine is started. The previous owner used Valvoline VR1 10-30 AND added a can of ZDDP. I am considering VR1 in 20-50, Can you have too much oil pressure?

Highest resale color for a B Body?

In 72 I was working at a Chrysler Plymouth dealer. The city was trading in their old fleet of white 68 Coronets for new 73 Plymouth Furys. They decided that the white color hurt resale value and ordered the new Furys in,,,,,,,F8!!!!!!

    Leaf spring dimensions

    Leaf spring dimensions

And by the way I WAS a minority back in the day as I KNEW what I was talking about and I did things RIGHT, being a Chrysler factory trained mechanic and working at Chrysler garages from '69 to '79. Those extended shackles were widely used because they were cheap and easy.

    Leaf spring dimensions

I always thought those looked goofy. They didn't do the same thing either. Adding an extra leaf stiffened up the suspension a bit and reduced spring wrap when launching and raising an inch didn't cause over oversteer. There was no drama about it. It took about 30 minutes per side on a lift. The...
