I have attached a schematic. I can probably fab two of these if I have to. Arrows point to the part. I have seen these in the interior forum regarding installing the rear quarter panel window and alignment. I believe the up stop used in the two door b bodies of 68 - 70 might be the same.
Started it up and still have the scrap/touch. I have pulled the fan pulley and will have 1/8 inch turned off the diameter. Talked with tech at 440 source and he stated that the pulleys are tight. That will definitely take care of the problem. All for now regarding this issue.
Does anyone know where you can get the grommet for the handle? I have pulled my parking brake lever and getting it cleaned up. Noticed that a lock washer had been placed on the shaft to prevent the spring from coming through the handle hole. Maybe even a rebuild/restoration service? I can...
Thanks a bunch. Now, I can't seem to locate it. I have removed the inner fender wall nuts and detached the switch. Will detach the cable. Is it located close to the dash. I see a 5/16 bolt but it appears to for the dash brace. Any photo or help appreciated.
i have replaced the water pump, new fan pulley and crank pulley with new belt. Just finished putting together. Seems to have better clearance than before. Test will be tomorrow when I fire it up.
I have checked the pulley mounting holes and WP shaft for wear etc. No abnormal wear or slop. Purchased a new water pump and will give that a try. The fan mounting hub on the original WP could be bent. When I turn it I believe I am seeing a slight deviation from the other mounting tabs...
Background: Noticed that my thermostat housing was leaking and issue with the alternator. While looking at the leak my fan pulley had some wobble. Thought it was the pulley out of round.
Action: Replaced thermostat housing and thermostat; new alternator; new fan pulley. All went together...
Repro service manual as listed in the subject line. Valiant, Fury, Satellite, GTX, Belvedere. Some how I ended up with two. No charge to first member that sends me their address. I will also pay to send! Just someone who can use it.
Sounds good with the info/experience provided. Also about the extra check on jack stands w/ backup. Greatly appreciate the info. Will check the arms as a aftermarket rack and pinion system has been installed. The unisteer.
