I did. Maybe I did it wrong, though...? Whats the best way to test these? 12v to inlet of ballast, and read what output voltage I'm getting?

So far, I’ve changed coil, ballast, voltage regulator, ignition switch, and engine harness.

Yea I'm just going to have to chase that wire down, definitely cheaper! No other accessories, the radio isn't even in.

Yea I'm thinking I just have to buy a new dash harness. Those things aren't cheap!

In case anyone read my post, I installed my new harness today and found it did have a 12v source for the choke as I had asked for. I mistook the connection for something else, and until it was on the car realized it was what I wanted. Another vote for Evans!

So I was hoping the issue would be in the engine harness, and I ordered one from Evan’s Wiring. I put it on today, and I’m STILL GETTING 14v TO THE COIL!!! Man I convinced myself this was going to fix and was so disappointed to see nothing had changed! Pic of reading taken while car is running.

If you go to your local weld supply, they sell something called a “cutting tip cleaner”. It’s about 5-6 bucks and good for cleaning small orifices. For harder to reach areas, electric guitar strings should work. A pack should be about 5-6 bucks too, and they’re usually about 2 1/2 feet long...

Got new points, and was puzzled again. With the internally regulated coil, it wouldn’t start. And with the standard coil, it ran horribly!

Thought I’d check the points, and they were toast!

I havent done anything to the car! All it did was sit between those old readings, and the new ones I took today!
