Indeed. I should try. But why does it always needs to become a project. I thought I would change the carb on the 440.... nope, I guess I'll blow the day tomorrow on the phone instead.
Hello!
So just a little over 6 months ago, I ordered a 69 Dodge Charger "premium" grille set. It was a $1500 part but they were running a sale. Which brought it down to about $1200. I could of SWORE it said at the time if the part came in shortly (I thought it was like 60 days) I would get the...
I am replacing my headlight doors because the sides of them, where the brackets bolt on for the headlight motors, have broken off plastic tips/ ends where the screw holes should be
My question is: mine is a R/T, so there is a flatter spot on the face where the metal R/T logo goes on
Will...
I used the chat window at Summit racing and they suggested a reasonably priced vacuum booster. Was maybe $235 or so. It is a unit that is electric and creates vacuum
I, too bought a disc brake manual to power conversion kit (by MBM), but I hear some say if you have a big cam, you won't have the vacuum to operate it. I think my cam specs are listed below...I don't know if this is considered a "big" cam or not (???)
CLAY SMITH ENGINEERING CAMSHAFT: Model...
Is that an all stock motor? I don't know anyone else around me that doesn't have a 440 without a big cam, headers or something. I am just curious if that is the "stock" motor idle
Thanks for your help! I guess on mine, the 2nd number is a 5 rather then a 6, so I couldn't find info on it. When I changed the number, "presto". It seems to be the "M1 Single Plane" intake just like you said, thanks!!!. Now I just need to figure out if it's any good, and if I should keep it. I...
So on the subject of mystery intakes, anyone ever seen this one? While I think the carb is newer, I think the intake is quite old. It says Mopar on the front, and on the back it says BB then P 4682174 (or at least I think it's a 4 on the end). Google searches come up empty. I don't know what all...
I'm missing one of the 4 bolts on the firewall that at this point holds the master cylinder on... so I hope that is easy to fix and find...gulp
I, too, am looking to convert to power brakes from manual ASAP, but due to a built up engine there is concern of enough vacuum to run the system. A...
OK, I think I got the picture now
The fender well crack does indeed seem to be a thin layer of bondo. It looks like in a past life a very old repair was done

I jacked the car up and...
What do you think of the Mopar brand bolt on frame rail connectors? Maybe not as good as the weld kind, but would it help out? I might be able to handle that, and I don't have the torque boxes by the back wheels, either. If you get frame rail connectors, are the toque boxes (hemi, convertible...
I can go ahead and post up pics but I just assumed if I had a 69 B body (charger) that whoever might be interested would get direct pics, but right now it would be of a sway bar laying on the garage floor we took off and a dashboard that doesn't have anything turn on
I'm sure. But... we don't have much that can cut metal....we don't have a welder....hence if a person out there can do some of these type things for us, we'd like the help
