    A -833 LEAK

I am replacing the o-ring / seals on the shift levers on my '69 Satellite. What is a good parts source? Is anyone aware of any other items that are routinely replaced while I have it apart?

    AIR FLOW PISTON

As a follow-up on the piston break, most of you were correct on the piston type. I reviewed the spec and end gap should have been .028. I was surprised that #6, the broken piston was gapped at .021. Doesn't seem a big enough difference in the two. Cylinders 4,6, & 8 are scarred; going to .040...

    Where to learn

Haven't checked in for a while so I just saw last two post. In regards to the exploding pc, I knew I couldn't screw up that often without some outside interference. Agree with everything is simple; I was married almost 40 yrs. Regards,

    Where to learn

Thanks to both of you. The "Likes" was kind of obvious now, but my lack of skills on a PC is pretty much endless.

    Where to learn

Is there a site that explains who sees what when you post or reply. Also see "Likes" and would like to know how to use. I have always received good and constructive information here.

    AIR FLOW PISTON

Thanks for your reply. While I have built a few BB, this is the first truly hi-po and it is a learning process. Had not planned on that but I'm just lucky that way.

    AIR FLOW PISTON

Thanks. Given my record with this car and the advice, I did leave it in SC. Plan to trailer it back to TN in a couple of weeks. Currently planning on replacing only the one piston provided the rest look good. I'm sure there is prep work when changing individual pistons and somewhere in that is a...

    AIR FLOW PISTON

As a follow up, if you will, I did not find the metal piece in the other head or intake but did find another plug with collapsed electrode. Is there anywhere that you suggest I look? Thanks again.

    AIR FLOW PISTON

Thank you for the information and quick reply. I have learned a lot about KB pistons this week. I guess a lesson with the price I'm expecting to pay won't soon be forgotten.

    AIR FLOW PISTON

In this case, the pistons were in the motor when bought and I knew nothing about them until you guys taught me. I don't recall buying or installing rings. Don't know if rings would have some info about extra gap .

    AIR FLOW PISTON

1st thank you for the great reply. You're correct on the KB. I have 2 more questions this morning. I'm 200 miles from home and will haven't seen head gaskets on shortly. Can I drive it? Are pistons replaced only by complete set. I'm going to sell the car. Physically can't keep doing this...

    AIR FLOW PISTON

The pic is from my 68 440. Ran my 1st 200mile trip after a rebuild. When checking out a timing change, I ran up to4500 between shifts. When I pulled from the stop sign I noticed heavy smoke from rt side. Found two things: #6 cyl spark plug had electrode completely closed at tip end and I had a...

    Broken pin on circuit board

I went to Bristol this evening to visit my daughter as her husband is my solder guy. He noticed the burn at the bottom and other one was hidden by limiter. Looks like I'm a little too rough on the equipment. A new board is in my future. Thanks to each of you for your help.

    Broken pin on circuit board

I broke on of the brass pins off the gauge /dash circuit board. Big hands ; small space issue. Can this pin (or suitable replacement) be soldered back in place? Seems that several people have had problems with replacement boards. Thanks.

    2nd Starter Relay

Thank you both for the information and to dadsbee also. I tried this and still have the problem. I have just replaced the alternator due to overcharging. I will install the 1st replacement relay tomorrow and see if I possibly damaged the current relay. I have some electric issues with lights I'm...
