Looking to put elastomeric bumpers on my 1972 charger
They only sell 1971's...
Any differences between a 1971 charger and 1972 charger bumper front or rear?
Thanks!
Best bet is to sit down and really understand your goals for the build -
Street driven only, autocross, or more serious competition? How much do you value comfort - NVH and modern technology - as good as the resto mods can be, the new cars will be quieter and have more creature comforts...
Thanks for all of the good ideas - in the end decided it's easiest to move the motor ahead - pulled the drive train out yesterday and will fab up new mounts this week - hopefully back together next weekend if the work schedule allows...
Nice solution - still working out my under dash packaging with the additional computer and wiring for the hellcat... but I really like how yours went together
Thanks for the great advice -
Looked at a couple of alternate wiper motors - but the early 70's use a hidden park feature that a lot of the late model smaller wipers don't support.
Cut the transmission tunnel and leveled the motor/trans some more - gained me some clearance but still could use...
No build thread yet... about time to start one. Working on driveline angle first - have mounts from SST for the tranny that put it at 4 1/2 degrees down - should be somewhere between 1-3 degrees - brought it up an inch - took me to 3 1/2 degrees and that give me an additional 3/4" near the...
1972 Charger - Got the Hellcat in last night with TKO500 - fits better than I expected, but need additional clearance for the intercooler connection near the Wiper Motor.
Anyone relocated their wiper motor? Let me know what you've seen.
Thanks!
Looking for a nice 1972 Charger drivers side fender.
Had the left front tire blow, and the belts tore up the bottom.
Could use a 71 - if the back side is nice I would patch that into mine.
Thanks!
Need suggestions for wheels that will hold a 345 wide tire.
Need at least a 12" to 13" wide rim.
Have to clear big brakes, so 18" minimum rim. Don't need any bigger, but probably will need to look at 19" or 20" to find something that wide.
If anyone has 12" rims on their car - would love to...
Hello Everyone
Long time Mopar enthusiast - bought my first Challenger- a convertible while in high school in 1979 - a red 383 that I've now had for over 40 years. I built that when you could still walk into the Chrysler dealer and order most parts over the counter at dealer cost - times ure...
