The Factory Shop Manual for my 74 Charger says to use the same number. 2084329 or equivalent. Right below that it says "Do not use Automatic Transmission Fluid". All I was able to find says Chrysler MS-5931, which is designed for use in Chrysler vehicles built before 1998. It should be clear or...
I do plan on going to Carlisle one day, but not this year. Who is Serge? Does he have a company or does he sell used parts? Does he have a website or Facebook? I'm thinking Moparfest may not be worth the trip, unless I add it to a vacation in the area. Thanks for your detailed reply.
I have never been and am just wondering what vendors with new restoration parts are there. I've seen videos of the great cars and heard it's a large swap meet, but what about new parts? I had a great time at Mopars in the Park, but with the tariffs I'm looking to stay in Canada this year? Just...
The jack and base are likely correct for a 74 since I bought the car in 1977. I'm thinking the shorter handle is the correct one and is like the first photo you posted.
It is very possible different plants would have different colors. My car is from the Lynch Road plant. I have two different tire wrenches so I'm not sure which is correct. One is shorter than the other. The shorter one looks like the one in the photo you posted. The grey is a bit lighter than...
Does anyone have a photo of the lower bearing installed on a floor shift steering column. The 74 is different from the 73 and older. I know a ER-16 bearing will likely fit, but I may want to go original. Thanks!
This is likely the same from 71-74. This is the outer wheelhouse that meets the trunk drop-off and trunk floor. The section circled in red goes under the inner wheelhouse, but it is flanged up a bit. For those of you that have done this before, did you hammer and dolly it flat or cut off the...
I purchased the AMD passenger side wheelhouse and have read it would need to be modified for a 74 Charger. I'm just in the process of removing the old rusted one so haven't tried it yet. Has anyone changed a 73-74 outer wheelhouse and can tell me where it will need to be modified. I've search...
I bought the passenger side a year ago. I removed my old one and clamped on the new one. Nice fit. I just had a problem at the deck filler, but my car had damage there so I’m sure that was the problem. I have a few things to do before I weld it on.
Thanks Gary! What years did he supply and test fit? I bought a full AMD quarter for my 74 Charger. So far, I've only test fit and have a couple areas to tweak. I don't think it's the part since my car was obviously hit in this area at some point.
I couldn't find the spring either. I can't believe they sell the collar and don't include a cheap part like the spring. Here is a link to someone that made one. It would be great if a member could make a bunch from an original. I'm sure they could sell a ton of them...
I wire wheeled and blasted mine and then sprayed it with Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black Satin Paint
The paint was $50 plus shipping so $200 is a good price and much less work. Of course saving $150 here and there does add up.
I searched everywhere and couldn't find correct 8" Ubolts for my 74. You can get the correct length at Mancini Racing or ESPO (Springs 'n Things) but they won't have the flattened top with the crosshatch. What length did you get? I'm curious if the 7 1/8" Ubolts would work. What axle housing do...
