Are these OK? Fuel line adapters for Carter to Edelbrock fuel pump.

Mine did too! Usually when cranking the engine over after the car has been sitting for a while you hear 1 knock per revolution coming from the fuel pump area until the car starts. It got a little quieter with the new pump but its still there a little.

Are these OK? Fuel line adapters for Carter to Edelbrock fuel pump.

Nothing really, LOL. Just that some are labeled as air compressor accessories and some are labeled as plumbing and some are labeled as fuel and chemicals... I'm not sure why they just don't list all of the uses on the same packages lol. The real kicker is that the ones packaged like this for air...

Are these OK? Fuel line adapters for Carter to Edelbrock fuel pump.

I called Mancinni and talked to him about his cheaper pumps when I was looking for a Carter 6903. He said they wouldn't really be that great for my 440 with a mild cam and 2 Edelbrock carbs and that if I couldn't find a Carter then I should get the Edelbrock or the Holly. I went with the...

Is this starter battery cable lug too close to the block? Dakota mini starter on a 440.

Here are some better pictures. There is also about a 1/8" gap between the 2 terminals. If it were you, would you leave it or get the relocation kit?

Is this starter battery cable lug too close to the block? Dakota mini starter on a 440.

Its more about the lug location on this starter. What do you mean by getting the correct sized lug?

Thanks for the help everyone! I found the 5/16" inverted flare to 3/8" NPT adapter on Ebay. Its on the way:) For the barbed fitting, the local ace hardware store has a brass fitting with a 3/8" barb and a 3/8" NPT. Its in a package marketed toward air tools or air hose. That's just a packaging...

Is this starter battery cable lug too close to the block? Dakota mini starter on a 440.

Hello, I installed this Dakota starter on my 440 about a year ago. It works great and I have not had any problems but I always wonder if my battery cable is too close to the block. I know they make a relocation adapter for the cables. I did not use one. I just removed the block that came on the...

Are these OK? Fuel line adapters for Carter to Edelbrock fuel pump.

Also, how long are the fuel pump bolts supposed to be? The Edelbrock bolts that came with it are about 1.4" long and the ones that I took out are about 1" long. I went ahead and reused the ones that I took out because I was worried that the other ones might go in too deep. I could definitely...

Are these OK? Fuel line adapters for Carter to Edelbrock fuel pump.

Hello, I can not find a Carter 6903 pump in stock anywhere so I went with the Edelbrock 1723 which looks identical and has the same specs except that it is polished and has 3/8 NPT fittings instead of 1/4" NPT fittings. I had to use a couple of adapters because I could not find the correct...

Leak at trans bolt on rear of 727?

Mine gets snug but still spins. I ended up cleaning it very thoroughly with some brake cleaner and putting some silicone over the bolt head and the case just around the bolt head. It hasn't leaked a drop in almost 2 years now:) Well, it hasn't leaked anymore from that spot at least!

Leak at trans bolt on rear of 727?

I ended up making one by chucking up a bolt with the head cut off in my drill press and turning it down to the correct size and adding the tapered area using a file while the bolt spins. After that I put a nut and a washer on it and it works just like the original.

@Stormysmopars Above are the full size screenshots that you asked for. The chart is very helpful and you can make out the chart if you squint your eyes a little then you can match up those numbers to the location and weight size in the other diagrams. Unfortunately the copies I have on my phone...
