my grandson might be good enough, and will be cheap. He plans to be in auto design, did a year of art school, and is now in 2nd year of auto engineering in the UK. PM me if interested.
PS The Mitsubishi F-1 was a licensed copy of the Jaguar. At Misawa AB, when I was there 85-88, we had 2 squadrons of F-16, JASDF 2 squadrons of F-1, flown by cadets as young as 19!
Snow landing with 'chute is a Jaguar, I can't tell national origin, camo is for snow or air to air hiding. I had 1 trip in the 2 seater; easy to land from the back seat. Chute induces impressive, instant drag! compared with my hundreds of chute deployment in the F-100.

probably doesn't count in context here, but when stationed at Lakenheath 66-68, we gave our wives a bacck seat ride in the "FAmily model," 2 seat F-100F. Taxi out, engagge afterburner, off at 100 Knots. Most stories here are of higher speeds. There are reliable stories of USAF pilots taking...
See old Push Button failure thread.
Briefly, the selector cable I ordered for the 78 400 block, 63 727 in B Body 63 Fury vert is 48". The one I removed is 44". If I use the longer one, will it operate normally? Thanks.
Well, in my humble 2 car gagge with a new jack (don't ask) I finally removed the shift cable. I did the book procedure of sticking a screwdriver in the hole while pulling back on the cable. It did come out, but i am suspicious that it might not have been fully seated with the spring retainer...
1955 Porsche 1200cc, massively upgraded to...1300cc. This was a "Pre-A" and probably valuable today.
I also raced "Quarter Midgets" at Ramstein AB Germany 65-66: custom, small single seaters, with a bolt-in 2cyl, 2 stroke 4speed rear drive. Massive 1/8 mile oval. Protective kit: helmet. Maybe a...
Borgeson is complex. You might consider the recently marketed Lares 2.5 fast box. I put it in my 63 Fury and like it so far. The return connection, and maybe the input threads are different from stock. Lares Catalog - Lares Corporation
in 1962, $100 for a pristine, cpacious 52? Plymouth 4dr, not a rip in the lovely upholstery. My roommate decided to drive it from C Springs to Tacoma to see a flame. Blond. Made it to Denver where the engine blew up. Sold it for $5. Our next auto adventure was a straight 8 53 Pontiac. not...
Thanks to all! I loosened the button box and tried to diagnose the problem. So: With both cables attached, same problem. detach trans cable and all buttons and park work normally. Reverse: park disconnected, trans on;same problem. So, I think it is in the trans cable, or inside the...
thank again top all. I did rotate the crank 10-20deg, no change. Conversely, when rolling the car downhill with the D button part way in, a clicking noise is heard. It stops when N is partly engaged. I tried again to loosen the set screw, but broke off the Allen wrench end, which is now...
NO the buttons D2 1 move but the neutral button does not go all the way in when pushing down on the park lever, which cannot be moved past 1/2 down. I discovered the clamp bolt slightly loose, could not loosen the Allen screw and have given up for the day:(
Suddenly I canot move the lever down to park. It moves to half way, and partly moves the Neutral button, but cannot be forced past to the bottom. Thus I cannot start the motor. Help!!
