I’m a product of the 1975 model years suffering from, heavy emissions low performance and rust issues... but a 70 Charger RT was my first ride home from the hospital. XS29U0G170626 if it happens to pop up.
My dad had several issues with a 421, engine mounts, the Muncie 4 spd was a major weak link, spun the cluster gear shaft and other stuff when it was new. The rock crusher was crushed by the 421! Myself engine mounts, fan blades, belts axle shafts...
Depends on the attitude you want, magnaflow sound good but I also like my hemi mufflers.. ecs and accurate have great examples with ecs being the most authentic.
I’d do it if it improves your satisfaction of it. Or you could keep the stock radio and have a conversion done (retain old board) and install a new wheel and just save the old. The wood wheel does look nicer. I have wood in my 68 and standard in my 70 RT.
Makes me think of Ford in the late 70s thru late 80s ... overly gigantic pain in the rear, vacuum lines everywhere and a solenoid to operate another solenoid to do the a job that one solenoid could do . Their emissions control systems were disasters.
Timken bearings are my favorite.. I believe Cass at Dr. Diff is one of the go to guys around here. Gears — idk I have old Richmond's that were good for me or oem gears.
