Hi, not sure if I will be here "forever" or finally give up on dream .....

Great site, thank you for the many responses. Sorry, no pictures right now, in fact I have not seen the GTX in about 5 years. I will be getting some in the next couple of months. Comforting to know I still have the GTX, but I have not done anything with it. Car has been in inside storage...

Hi, not sure if I will be here "forever" or finally give up on dream .....

Not sure of etiquette here on 4BBonly but I guess I can't hijack a thread I started. 68BabyBlue, does she still bring a smile to your face when you go for a ride? I loved the the time I did drive the GTX. Not sure if the love would still be there. I have freeway flyer rear end, something...

1969 GTX Chrome Wheels, original or dealer installed?

I agree, the wheels easily could have been a dealer install. I know they were not installed for me, but could have been put on before I seen the GTX. I did not order the car, it was bought off the lot. Not in the showroom, on the lot with snow on it, hood raised to show off the motor. The...

1969 Hurst 4 spd shifter handle script

Sorry, kind of like a kid in the candy store for me. I haven't thought about cars for quite a while. For the last 20 years I've driven a pickup with no brand loyalty. Lease them, just transportation and a tow vehicle for toys. This site has stirred a long dormant interest in me :) Back to...

Hi, not sure if I will be here "forever" or finally give up on dream .....

I'm almost 70. I still like toys. I'm sure I would make more use of a modern toy, but it just wouldn't seem right to get rid of the 69. Even though I haven't done anything with it, I know it is there. Irrational, but I think I would miss it if gone and possibly even resent the new toy that...

1969 Hurst 4 spd shifter handle script

Neither looks correct to me ????? I have a stock 69 GTX but it has been a while since I sat in it. When I get over there again I'll take a couple pictures and post them. I remember the tower being chromed and round with the Hurst logo being nicely stamped much more like the second picture...

1969 GTX Chrome Wheels, original or dealer installed?

I "remember" the wheels as being factory, but 50 years does interfere just a little bit with true memories :)

1969 GTX Chrome Wheels, original or dealer installed?

Yes on the window sticker, I think it is still there, but not positive. Yes on "early build" I bought the GTX in January, 1969. I'm sure the build was in 68, but not sure when. Wheels looked like except chrome. No trim ring, dust cap painted. Slots around the edges as pictured, nothing...

Hi, not sure if I will be here "forever" or finally give up on dream .....

hmmmm .... YY1 I didn't think this was the correct forum, but ok 1969 GTX Hemi 4 speed. 12,000 miles, been in storage literally 50 years. Bought 52 years ago from Plymouth dealer on Chagrin Blvd in Beachwood. Went away to school, tried to sell her in the early 70's, obviously kept her. Try...

1969 GTX Chrome Wheels, original or dealer installed?

I bought the GTX almost 52 years ago (bought in January 1969). Every once in a great while I get the desire to bring her back to like. She still has the original red line tires on the front on the original wheels that came from the dealer. I looked in the past but did not find anything...

Hi, not sure if I will be here "forever" or finally give up on dream .....

B Bodies is an inspiring site, thank you. I've owned my GTX essentially forever. Hope to decide in the coming months whether Iwill keep her and get her back on the road or sell / trade for a toy I can use. I'll look for a place the proper forum on the site to post details.
