I have a 67 R/T, bought in 2005. When I got it the guy told me the engine and trans came out of a 69 Charger. It has always started and ran fine until recently. It has a dual point distributor but the caps I have gotten from the parts store don't fit. the only identifying number I can find on it...
You can get a copy of your build sheet from Chrysler Historical Society, for 67 and earlier cars. I got one for my 67 R/T back in 06 or 07 and was about $45 IIRC.
My experience has been the big blocks have 2-1/2 exhaust pipes and a 2-1/4 tailpipe. I've had a 383 69 Charger, 70 Superbee 440 six pack and a 71 GTX with a 440. That was the exhaust on all of them.
could you post a link to that video? I'm interested now. I've dropped a fww columns in the past and just nolted it back up. Never had any problems with them.
4.5 on the backspacing. That was based on some of the previous posts on this thread. I may put 245 or 235 tires on them. Undecided but it has 255s on it now.
