    Sanity check for charging system

I only had a minute at lunch to take a look at this, but with the field unplugged at the alternator and a number 6 wire connected from the positive side of the alternator to the positive side of the battery, I'm still not getting much in terms of a charge; 12.17, and not much more when I give it...

    Sanity check for charging system

Several projects, limited space and insurance requirements for classic coverage. Yes, summer heat and hurricane season do play into this somewhat.

    Sanity check for charging system

I have about a week before I'll need to put my 67 Charger 440 in storage and and there's something that's been bothering me that I'd like to sort out before I do this. I have yet to see a charge greater than 12.37v out of my alternator. Before I acquired the car it was retrofitted with a...

    Dash switch debacle

Agreed, but since I've had these things working not too long ago I'm being as methodical as I can be.

    More or less lol

    Dash switch debacle

Thanks for the clarification. If I leave the wires disconnected is that the same as the switch allowing normal operation?

    Dash switch debacle

Switch is already out, 67 Charger. I manned up, pulled the seat and moved the fuse box out of the way and can probably do it now. I'm rarely impulsive but it seemed like a good idea at the time

    Dash switch debacle

I feel like I messed up. While debugging some of the headlight issues I've been having, I was going to pull the headlight lock switch out and test it. Now that it's almost out, I see that I have two wires plugged and there's a third wire, probably back up inside the dash. Once this thing is out...

Seat covers for 67 Charger buckets?

I ended up buying an inexpensive, generic set for low back seats and am pleasantly surprised. For @$40 I have a set that will protect seats in either my 67 charger and 69 300 c-body. They aren't concourse, and I don't expect them to last for 20 years, but they'll work for me without having to...

Funny, I forgot about this thread until I thought about searching again. I guess this is a big fat "no", which sure surprises me.

    727 metal chips, choices?

There was another container that had more, but no real chunks. Just a LOT of glitter.

    727 metal chips, choices?

Thick blobs of sparkly paste. I've got a spare 727 available that I'll probably try.

    727 metal chips, choices?

67 Charger 440, mild cam, not a racecar. 727 torqueflite with floor shift and sure grip diff. The shop pulled down the trans pan and it was full of metal. It might be cheaper to replace the transmission and am wondering what I should be looking for? It looks like some 727s are big block...
