Pulled my 727 pan and found this

Does the stud hold anything behind it? If I can remove the stud, is anything gonna fall inside the transmission? I might be able to use a reverse drill bit and back the broken stud out, make a new one from a grade 8 bolt and re-use the nut. Maybe I'll just leave it. The car drove and shifted fine.

Pulled my 727 pan and found this

Looks like a sheared off bolt and nut. The transmission was shifting fine. Any idea where those go? I was expecting some metal shavings....not this!

What's the Secret of Removing Door Glass?

Well that figures. I watched a youtube video a guy made removing door glass from a 1970 Charger. He left the vent window in. He took off a little screw at the top of the window channel next to the vent window and that allowed him to offset the door glass channel enough to get the glass out. I...

What's the Secret of Removing Door Glass?

I got it. I needed to remove the inner chrome belt molding. I managed to get the glass out without breaking anything. Interesting design. Thank you.

What's the Secret of Removing Door Glass?

Removed the door panel, interior door handle and linkage rod and got the glass off the regulator but that small track attached to the glass will not come off. And I don't think it will come out attached to the glass. Looks like it is a plastic fastener. What's the secret step I'm missing? Thanks...

Hello! Just Bought a 1968 Dodge Charger and Had Few Questions

Thanks Jerry! Yes, the transmission was thrown in as a rebuilder so I can sell it on craigslist and use the money to buy the right one for the car. I'm a little worried about the motor. When I drained the oil, about 8 quarts of a watery oil mixture poured out. The motor has signs of rust on the...

Hello! Just Bought a 1968 Dodge Charger and Had Few Questions

1977 440. The oil pan looks like its for a truck motor, maybe a D500, D800 or a motorhome. It needs rebuilding so I'll tear it down and take it in to the machine shop to see what kind of shape the block and crank are in first.
