Looking for an ammeter to fit a 1970 rallye dash. It doesn't need to be in working condition- I need the faceplate and the needle for a voltmeter conversion. Oil/fuel/temp gauges are ok too as the face and needle dimensions are similar. Thanks in advance.

"Full field" the alternator and see if it stabilizes. Should give max output. If it doesn't stabilize, alternator is suspect. Only do this long enough to see the results so you don't wreck anything. I don't recall how to full field a Mopar alternator but someone on here should be able to chime...
