Any good ideas on how to reduce weight on a '65 Plymouth? I am wanting to swap for a '65 Satellite. It was a drag project that someone started years ago and never finished. It has plexi windows, gutted interior, and I believe everything else is steel.

It's not a factory FM3 pink car but I really like it. 4 speed car too! It's priced at $31,900 and I feel that is a little on the expensive side. I don't have the funding now but will be looking at '70 Bee's within the next month or so...
I know there are lots of variables but what kind of real world mileage have you seen with a 3rd gen Charger equipped with a 318? I guess a 318 Roadrunner or Satellite would be in the ballpark?

Do the clips on the windshield channel hold the glass in or is that just for the stainless trim that goes around it? (clips that are held by phillips head screws)
I'm doing a modified '70 Charger and was looking at bucket seats options. Is there anything else that will fit close on the stock floor plates/mounts?? I don't need to worry about it looking correct.
