I've been driving my 65 Plymouth Satellite since restoring it about 5 years ago. I had to replace the wiring harness about 2 years ago and have had no problems at all;; until yesterday. Driving along and my gauges stop working, and my radio went off and so did my a/c blower fan; then after about...
My friend the mechanic said the accelerator pump didn't seem to be moving, so then we rebuilt the carb (twice), but we still had problems, but it runs out perfect except for the occasional stall upon accelerating. No constant problem, just on rare times.
I'm sorry for the lack of details. The engine is 318 with a 727 transmission/console shift. So I guess that would make this Stromberg WWC3 1 1/4". That was the original carb on engine before restoration. Hope this helps.. Thanks again..
Hey Guys! I finished my 1965 Satellite restoration a couple years ago and things have gone smooth, until I started having trouble with my carb. Runs good and smooth, but just every now and then when I'm pulling out into traffic; it will just cut off. Then it is the trauma of oncoming traffic and...
I have had problems with my Stromberg 2 bbl carb since the start of my rebuild. I have had it rebuilt twice and parts changed even more. The latest episode has been an issue with the accelerator pump not moving when I accelerated, cutting off the engine when I start off. We changed the pump and...
Thanks guys! I am planning to address all your ideas this week end. I was also, told to check the ign. sw. going through dash for proper ground. I know I had a w/wiper sw. not grounded and it knocked the crap out of me one day when I tried to turn it on, so I took it off and cleaned the dash of...
I have a 1965 Plymouth Satellite with a 318 poly engine. Engine and most every other part has been restored or rebuilt. I have developed a problem in the last few months that has me stumped. I start out from a stop and turn left to move into traffic and it cuts off. Not every time but randomly...

I replaced the dash wiring harness 6 months ago. Everything that seems to be the problem has already been replaced.

Thanks for the brain storming guys! Weather here has been too bad...
I have a 1965 Satellite with a 318 poly engine. Engine has been rebuilt at Christmas last year, trans is new rebuild, carb has been rebuilt. Now, my problem started a couple days ago. Everything going fine, great day cruising in my Plymouth; I turned out of a parking lot on to the main highway...
I'm having trouble with my park cable. Sometimes, when I put it in park, it still rolls then catches. Is the adjustment hard to do to fix this? Also, I am having a problem with leakage of trans fluid through the cable coating. I know that Schumacher Creative Services sells these cables, but...
I am looking for a speedometer cable for a 727 cable drive transmission. I'm having a speedo cable leaking problem. NOS would be great, but would be happy with a used cable that doesn't leak. Thanks!
I have a 65 Satellite with a 727 transmission; cable drive. I was having a bad transmission leak, so I took it to a transmission shop and they replaced all the gaskets (which was probably needed anyway), then a couple days went by and I noticed more transmission fluid leaking. Come to find out...
I have a 318 cu. in. engine in a 1965 Plymouth Satellite and had a under the dash wiring problem that resulted in frying my wiring harness. I was wondering why my fusible link didn't burn in two. It did fry the coating off of the fusible link wire, but the wire itself didn't burn in two. I had...
I have just replaced the after market carb that was on the car when I purchased it and replaced it with the orginial carb that I found in a box of stuff that came with the car. It is a Stromburg 2 bbl. Got it rebuilt and put it on and realized that I don't have a choke rod for the carb to the...
