I think it may be a 66-70ish k member. Definitely not 65.

How would one repair that perch? It’s not obvious to me. If i had another k member to take measurements on maybe. Any ideas?

That’s what i needed to know. I’ll probably see if i can find someone who can straighten out the piece i already have. Looks like somebody damaged it when they were trying to get the dashboard out in the past. Appreciate your help!

Thanks. I’m replacing all the front end suspension and steering. That car had a 361 originally. When i bought it, it had a 318 in it. I have a 73-78 model 440 and transmission to go in it.

Follow up question. Since it looks like somebody cut on the passenger side perch, is it useable without repair? Can I still install a bracket and biscuit on that perch?

Howdy, y’all. Would like some help identifying the k-member in my 65 satellite. Below are some pics of what’s currently installed. Does anyone know if this is a ‘65 v-8 k-member? It looks more like a 66 or later. Thanks.

Is it advisable to replace the strut bars too? Same issue going to 440? Maybe they’re included in the replacement front end kit?

Looks like Schumacher has a nice set of reproduced mounts. I’ll probably go with them. I paid someone years ago to reproduce a console assembly for me. It’s beautiful. I’ll definitely use it one way or another.

Afraid it’s the original console shifter. I’ve read i can buy an aftermarket shifter and put it under the original console? Wasn’t aware of the oil pan issue. Good to know. Planning on buying BBM mounts/ biscuits. I’ll check the diameter on the torsion bars. Appreciate the advice.
