The handle has a small pin that is pushed in place and attaches in a small groove. If the handle fell off, you probably lost the small pin.

Having both makes for a tuff decision, but with both being 4-speed, the Max Wedge you can drive any where. The Race Hemi on the street is almost too much. But I never get tired of taking them out for a drive.
Do you have the 2 small pieces of chrome trim at the end of the dash & next to the door? They are part of the chrome trim that goes up around the window.
The original Max Wedge air cleaners have a drop base that even has an indent in it for the fuel inlet. Even with these drop bases the center area of the air cleaner would hit the bracing under the hood. On max wedge cars the bracing is removed and there are I believe 7 inch holes in the hood...
