I set mine same as Doug suggests . Though as mine is a street/strip car I dont raise it to set toe , I go 1/16-1/8 toe . With mine set for 5 1/2"front rise from standing height Caster is +0.5/0.75 Camber 0 . This is with stock arms . Mine has Caltracs so Calvert recommend 5" + öf upwards...
Doug .
Yes tried higher and yes quicker rt . Have used tbrake before . Might simply be @ 3800lbs needs more especially with 4.1 gear and 30" radial.
Will post run sheets monday i left them at work
Tex
Doug .
With my converter even though it stalls @ 6000 over about 2000 i find i am concentrating more on the brake than tree. I am only leaving @ 1800 or 2000 choice dependent footbrake .
A bit more testing to come

Well the weekend is run and done .
Did not go quite to plan .
Weather was baking hot , up to 108 degrees , as we raced from 4.00pm till 11ish when it cooled to a mild 90 degrees . So very hard to keep car cool , didnt need a warm up as by the time i drove 100meters to stage lanes Plymouth was...
Doug , yes air is normally pretty good . First time I raced there in summer I thought i'd slow with the heat but ran as fast as normal . It seems with the really low humidity its less of a problem . Ran a couple weeks ago @ Sydney Dragway was 102F but 128 grains so DA was up around 4000+
I do...
Hey all .
Back to racing this weekend . Another round of the National Drag Racing Championship . Racing @ Sunset Strip in Mildura Victoria over the 1/8 a regional track .
This is afternoon / evening racing due to the heat . I know some of you guys are still shivering . See attached pic , is in...
Man I see some of the weightloss and its really well thought out . As a street car Im close to easy pegged out weight loss . I guess I could step up a class to Super Sedan , then I can run without exhaust . But I prefer to run footbrake not box .
Tex
im more thinking 540 or 572 ci
no replacement for displacement .

PS my World iron block added 90lbs but runs the same et & mph as factory block plus doesnt drop power as it gets a bit warmer in later rounds or hot days .
Im going to go another way in thought . If you still have a factory block why not put the money into a 4.5 bore block , maybe aluminium . Even if using your current top end ? Drop weight , pick up cubes . Big bore will definately help . And give you room to change top end later for even more...
Well its turned to custard .
Blazing hot yesterday.
107F 100 grains of water . Car was slow out of hole but qual#6 with a 10.54
Woke this morning to light rain . Waitung but unlikely to get on track today . So the event will probably be called in the next hour or so
Tex

Malex ,
i recall you are only legal to 10.00? Are you going to upgrade to full cage ? I know some of us keep chasing ET but I've mostly tried to stay at a point where i can run flat out but not be able to exceed my ET limit no matter how good the weather . JMO for bracket racing . Mine is legal...
dang thats some nice weight loss there . Not too friendly for street use though . I have those liteweight Caddy/Chev rear discs same as yours. Stop decent , weigh a fair whack probably same as drums . Have wondered about using Dr Diff rear disc which uses the Mustang brakes , reckon have to be...
