    Rear spring rate

My guess would be 41", unless that is the a body kit car? The Kit cars were not Nascar "Grand National". Additionally, I believe the B and A hex TB sockets max out at 1.25" dia, The C body TB max is around 1.40" Dia, I have no idea how they exceeded that unless with custom large sockets or...

    Brake Pedal Height

I'm in the middle of this issue as I am typing. Had an associate install a 2 circuit 1.125" MC in a 62 Dart, that I have yet to drive. Installed a new battery to put it on the road, brake lights stuck on, killed the battery. I also noticed the brake pedal is really high (9") at rest, and my...

    Lowering with Leaf Spring Hangers

Axles shims may be easiest quickness, most affordable way to get a different ride height look, especially if OEM u bolts are long enough to accommodate the shims needed. Performance wise, they have some compromises, to experiment, they would be my first suggestion.

    Front Wheel Bearing End Play

But a fan has no impact loads, its a relative constant/load speed, unlike an on the road wheel assembly that might apply here. Not sure how to address thermal issues. Do front discs that I believe run hotter in track conditions require even greater play to account for the higher temps? If so, I...

    Front Wheel Bearing End Play

Is end play mainly to facilitate lubrication, in that if there was no movement, the included grease would have little chance of the rollers every being able tp "pick up" grease while rotating? Whereas if an oil bath bearing, seems end play as close to zero would be fine. I have never read/heard...

    Let's Debate

That orientation normally precludes any adjustability of roll center adjustment, and IMO why its not in favor and likely only seen on rock crawlers? If that is the focus of this debate, I'm out.:steering:

    Let's Debate

Anyone that installs ignorantly a Panhard bar as represented in that video or thinks the video is of positive merit in this discussion, IMO should not contribute in this "debate". The video shows how not to install and use a panhard bar.

    Let's Debate

I wonder why only the animation on a Watts and not include a Panhard bar? Do I detect a hint of graphical bias here in this debate?

    Let's Debate

Just to keep everybody on the same page: If you rear has say 6" travel (a lot imo) and it moves 3" away from rest, either direction, with a 40" bar the rear offset will be .1127", check my math if you please. If you hit a bump and you have 3" of travel as a result, .1127" will not be your...

    Let's Debate

A proper "debate" would define the application. Road race, circle track, street, drag, etc My personal interest is road race, Mopar TA cars often switched back and forth. Why, I am not certain, but it was not rule based as far as I know. Watts is tougher to package and install, but it is...

    Changing Strut Rods

What about Freddie Mercury, Rob Halford, Elton, Menudo, Little Richard, Liberace, Barry Manilow, and I always wondered about Scot Weiland. And to be clear, I only "insulted" the video.:fool:

leaf springs look ok? shackle has some angle but too much?

OP needs to understand, if the OEM shackles were exactly vertical, they would be loaded mainly in compression, their lightweight design is not ideal for that loading, once they are past over center, they are started to be loaded in tension, and their design is more than adequate for that loading.

Differential Girdle Too close to Gas Tank?

Understand, in any kind of incident, it's more likely the fuel tank will move more than the rear axle, regardless, the result is the same.
