No they are not stock.
It's an adaptation of Ford ball bearing for people who don't want to set up tapered bearings.
Some say less friction for straight line.
SD is always a solid choice for flat hood if you're ok with tq loss for upper rpm hp gain.
Unless you're in the upper rpms the rpm perf on the engine is probably as good or better
I wouldn't expect the intake to make a difference but the carb should.
If you want more hp and ok with some torque loss think about the tf intake or a Victor
And back in the day with a stockish cam (you have more cam for sure) we tested 3.23 to 4.10 with no other changes on a fully laden 69 charger and it made absolutely no difference.
Typical Holley, intake, and headers.
For a street car I think you'd be happier around town and possibly a tenth or 2 faster to 330' with an rpm performer intake instead of the Holley. And with that engine I doubt you give up any trap mph
In theory I've been figuring that. I have not priced out the 727 and converter to handle the HC however to see the difference in cost. Simplicity is worth something however, vs getting the Sound German controller and OEM shifter working for the hp95.
There have been some engine/trans pairs sell...
Would you use the hp95 and stock converter with a sound German automotive controller set up?
Or a 727?
Or a TH400?
Goal is trying to hit 10.0x because I don't want to put more equipment in my 69 Coronet.
Right now no thoughts of something like drag week, and gear set would likely be...
The 230 block with good mag and sonic tests is definitely worth more on the market. I don't think anyone meant to say otherwise. It just needs to be tested. Other people will pay a premium for it even a couple in this thread won't.
I ran several engines with OEM rocker gear to 7000rpm in bracket racing events before anyone told me any better. Never hurt a thing with street cams...
Nobody was around to tell me I'd probably go quicker if I shifted earlier either
