FWIW, I dribbled paint on top of the button tabs and let it build up into a dome (multiple, multiple coats). I'd let the paint semi-dry until it was thicker and then apply. I don't think anyone could tell the difference and it lasted maybe 10 years until I sold the car. Of course, mine was...
There is no way to fix this that I know of other than to take the seat cover off, remove the button, recover it and sew it back in. I have heard that in the past people saved their old buttons and installed them on the Legendary covers to avoid this common problem. I'm still not sure is...
I bought a 1969 full set of 3 last year. They look great and fit great, but as someone already mentioned the black paint chips off very easily exposing the chrome finish underneath.
Well, I thought I'd report back: I used Pure Ayre Pet Deodorizer with works "using natural enzymes". I sprayed the entire surface, and 360 degrees around up inside where mice have eaten through (3 locations). The smell is 80%+ better, and it did not stain the black headliner. I can stand to...
Coffee........ Is it absorbing the smell or overpowering it? The smell is 100% coming from the headliner, so I don't see it NOT travelling past my nose when being absorbed by the coffee under the dash. Still, I appreciate the suggestion and may give it a try if everything else fails.
I take...
Thanks, gents. I will try a few of these out. If I can at least get it to a state where I can drive it without wanting to puke I'll be happy enough until I get to the restoration.
As I said, I don't to pull the headliner out. I prefer to keep my project cars drivable and whole right up until...
I have a driver Charger 500 that sat for many years and is heavily perfumed by mouse piss. Really, I have nearly no sense of smell but I can hardly stand it. I replaced the carpets, cleaned the nests out of the seats, and scrubbed down the floor pan. The worst of it seems to be in the headliner...
Well, I doubt he cut it for the thrill of it! Did you look up in the wheel well and see what kind of tire clearance there is?
Remember, the tire sidewall will flex and there is also a little movement in the springs and also the body roll. You can get by with minimal tire to spring clearance, but...
I live in the county where a lot of stuff isnt available locally. Does every NAPA do this? What is the product I should ask for as I may need to drive to a more populated NAPA area?
I see Duplicolor has B5-ish looking spray paint for interior color matching. Has anyone tried one of the colors to see how close it is? I want to spray some kick panels - they are down low and out of sight so pretty close will be ok!
Can you post a width dimension? B-body seats are narrower than C Body. It has the same plastic seat belt guides my 71 C-boy seat has, so the year is probably pretty close.
