    New guy needing assistance plz.

Hey there. I'm going to be passing through Bremerton today. I'll wave as I go by  I'm not an A body guy so I can't help much with much, but when you do convert to disc, I suggest going to the larger 5x4-1/2 bolt pattern as it will make future wheel choice much more open. Of course...

Maintenance on the 73 Road Runner

1973/74 Plymouth Road Runner preservation with Q&A Feedback

As far as I know, nobody makes big to small block conversion motor mounts, however it's really not that hard to make your own. If you don't have a MIG welder, buy one. It will pay for itself many times over. If I was in your shoes, I would build the big block and install it now.... even if...

A guy named Summit Racing sells them for a whopping $5.

    Anyone Interested?

I just caught this build for the first time. Two thumbs up!

    Engine Swap 383 for 440

I don't know... people who buy cars like to imagine that their numbers matching car is un-touched. When you are done having fun, put the 383 back in it to sell and hawk the 440 separately.

I might take this out for a spin tomorrow, what do you all think?

Oh, boy, you probably should have braced it before cutting that much. Oh well... it probably wasnt square anyways having been hit that hard. Measure, measure, and measure again. Good luck!

    Garage gas smell

If it's very strong, probably the filler grommet to the gas tank. That has been my experience. It can leak slowly and soak the insulation on top of the tank without dripping on the ground.

68 plymouth, I moved my rear axle.

I am a fan of the old school look..... so cool! Nostalgia is fun. One of my cars is built to old school standards, however I re-arched the springs to get it done. For shocks I have just added extenders at the lower shock plates. Pinion angles were easily set with inexpensive shims. It's the...

    74 Charger Rallye 440 TX9

I bought my 74 440 Rallye in 1987 for $600 and drove it home, but I gotta say $4k for a 4x black, straight, rust free one is a helluva deal today. ..... and why your paint cost/time was so reasonable. Good choice on a car! These are great cruizers.

Are general mayhem clones cool or stupid?

Cheap, beat drivers are a lot of fun.... but no reason to copy something else. Make it unique.

Is this real? Should we buy it?

I saw that car a few days ago. It is very nice, but if originality is important you best look it over quite carefully: H in the VIN = 383 4bbl at least! Should have D21 on the fender tag bottom line if an original 4 speed car. N96 on the tag would indicate ram-charger. If it really was...

    The Garage Runner

That's dedication to a project. It will be comparatively easy from here. Great job!

    74 Charger vs 72 Challenger

As a fan of the (lowly?) 73-74 Chargers, I would still say change things up and build the Challenger. The added benefit is that it will keep your grandson helper more motivated and engaged. Have fun!

I might take this out for a spin tomorrow, what do you all think?

If you bring this wreck back it will make for an epic story. Gonna be a helluva lot of work though.

New Roadrunner. Do I keep the Charger?

I like having more than one hot rod as I can work on one and drive the other. Even when they are "done", maintenance and upgrades occur..... then your drive the other one. Cars don't have to be money pits. You can have one nice car and a car that is just a rough driver to have fun with...

1974 Charger 440 BOTR (Back on the road) Project

They are still out there to find as you've shown. You just keep the faith. Just an awesome, special car. Congrats.

1974 Charger 440 BOTR (Back on the road) Project

74 + 440 + Sunroof = very, very low production # car, and PW , AC, and triple black to boot. Lucky you... great find!
