Mine both cars still works flawlessly off of the factory relay. In fact, they have always seem to work to good. They flip up and slam closed so fast it almost sounds like they would break something. Never been an issue though, or broke anything.
68 thru mid 69 were the smaller bumperettes. Later 69 got the taller bumperettes. 70's were different yet and added rubber stripes. My red 70 has them.
I prefer Chargers with a shiney top. However, I have owned more with vinyl tops. In fact, I have only owned 2 that were factory shiney top cars and one was black.
One of my Charger's still has what I think is the factory spare in the trunk. I know it hasn't ever been out of the trunk 34+ years that I have owned it
I have had my 70 Charger since I was a teenager in high school and everytime I drive it it makes me feel 16 again and always enjoy the compliments it gets when I have it out for a cruise.
I did the same in my Challenger. Made mounting panels and mounted everything up under the dash on the knee bar with long enough harnesses that they can be dropped for servicing. The switch panel is mounted to my halo bar.
