No answers on your headers, but a little help otherwise. Get rid of that orange oil filter and get you a Wix or Napa Gold. Those orange filters are completely junk, just do a search.
Maybe the hot post on the wiper switch is for your windshield washers. Also you should get yourself an FSM, it will give you wiring diagrams and info. on all systems of the car. Most of us can't live without one, so much info. in them.
The tach does have it's own harness separate. Get the proper tape and bundle it with your main harness. If you changed to electronic ignition, get the harness for electronic setup. The harnesses from Year One fit perfect, made by M&H.
I will be trying the mod but don't know how soon. After the weather gets colder, then I have a bunch of stuff to do with this being one of them. I have a winter list, let's see how much of it I can get done????
Btt...anyone else have any input or experience with these gauges. I am still on the fence on buying new or having mine restored. Also, if I would buy new, I wouldn't buy an amp gauge, because I did the amp gauge bypass and would have my old one converted to a Volt gauge. Thanks fellas.
Are you sure you got the same pulley back from the powder coater that you gave him? Has to be a different pulley if it doesn't fit the pump it came off of.

Yes I would have to cut the core support. It is a 2 row aluminum, downflow with everything to mount the factory fan shroud. He told me he does this a lot to get the 26 in a 22 hole. I read the writeup posted by clemul about cutting the core support. I don't want to replace the original core...
