1967 Dodge Charger 14" Tire Size

Thanks. Yes, it was an opton. "Deluxe" wheel covers. $21.30 When I stepped up to the 15s, I went to Magnum 500s too. I think it looks good w/ the Magnums, but I miss the hub caps, and they enhanced the sleeper look, IMO. As pictured, the car ran 11.70s at 120. I think there is a way 14"...

1967 Dodge Charger 14" Tire Size

Hmmm. It seems like I'm always rowing against the current. I guess it depends on which "original" dimension you want to hold, as you cannot match the original tire dimensions with a P series tire, I think. For me, the most important dimension on that big ol Charger is the tire diameter. A...

    1966 383 build help

What kits are you referring too? There is nothing different between the 66 and 67 383. What is your budget? Getting a 383 to 450 hp will require careful selection of parts, and you will likely have poor idle and low rpm manners and require a higher stall converter.

    Valuation for 66 “g code” 4spd?

I’m excited for you! It’s hard to describe, but there is something special about 383 paired with a 4 speed. It’s the short stroke/long rod and its ability to rev that makes it truly a different experience than a 3.75” stroke motor. It will be down a little on power with everything else...

    Painted or Chrome valve covers?

And 67 Chargers. My 68 came with factory chrome too. My preference as well. Without something to break it up, It's a lot of one color. But really, they all look good IMO. I like the black MP ones too.

    Big block 4spd value?

I cannot answer your question regarding value, or what it's worth. I can tell you that I like the car, and a 4 spd makes it a LOT better for me. Good luck

For me, the attitude/stance and tire size of the 1st gen cars needs to be just right to look good. Yours is perfect.

Yes, automatic. Your estimate range is pretty good. I like to stick with the car's actual track performance because that takes out the dyno BS that floats around on the internet and magazines. On one guys dyno it might have 560, another maybe 620.

Thanks. Just pointing out that you can, and will get several different hp answers from on line calculators and you need to understand the details of those if you want to get anything meaningful from them.

Thanks. Not sure what calculator you used, and which "horsepower" it gives. It's most accurate to use trap mph and weight, not et. Also, the mph, corrected to J607 standard conditions is over 122 mph. And finally, this is still a "net" horsepower number verses an engine gross horsepower...

The 440 stuff was not perfect, but still a good value all things considered. I would keep them on my short list for another build. Cam was specd by Dwayne Porter. It is a street type, easy-on-parts solid roller.

440 Source with the 4.25 arm. The heads are the Mopar Performance - Eddy heads. Same as the Eddy RPMs with 84 cc chamber, but with straight plugs.
