I have a base and it doesn’t have any angle in it. The intake does have angle in it that puts the carbs real close to level when installed on the engine in the car. The engine sitting in the car angles to the rear around 5 degrees.
You can mix them and no difference other than the numbers and if it’s an early
70 center carb the bowl vent is different between center early to late carbs.
This does not effect the operation of the carbs.
If I see it correctly looks like RM23M is the first 5 of Vin that broadcast sheet is for sure A12.
check the front radiator support and the left side trunk gutter for the vin of the car. If they match all is well all the parts could have been swapped out at some point in it’s life.
You should slip over to the A12 playground
and introduce yourself and your car. May be someone there that knows some history
about it and see if it’s in the registry.
The first sign is the corner of the tag has never been bent. The factory attached the tag at one corner then bent it up to paint afterwards pushed it down and fastened the other corner with an unpainted screw.
Someone now makes new ones that have the pentastar on them but yes the originals had the star. the new repops as far as i know dont have the mopar part number
thats cast into the underside of the base like in your first pic above.
yea with a remote mirror if you got the right hand option it matches the left but is manual. does the one you have like the pic above have the pentastar on it?
