Post a picture of the oil baffles inside your valve covers, especially the one below the fill neck on the left side. It may not be clearing the push rod adjusters and will sound like a bag of ball bearings if you don't cut a hole(s) for clearance. I don't remember the brand of rocker I used...
You are good. I would not worry about it.
I probably have a dozen examples of human error within the stamping process. We are after all, "Only Human", and mistakes were made.

Is there a diagram or picture you can post showing the layout. I agree that a Dremel tool will be able to accomplish this pretty easily. I just don't want to cut it incorrectly.
