    Center carb vacuum question

Super information! I bought the bushings already. Did you have high idle issues resulting from the vacuum leak?

    Center carb vacuum question

I think removing the carbs may be my next step. I just ordered some new gaskets. I’m assuming they are stock thickness. The ad Didn’t say otherwise. I’m still wondering about the small leak around the throttle shaft. Worn bushings?? Thanks.

    Thanks. Makes sense.

    Center carb vacuum question

Nope. No solenoid. I have found that if I push down fairly hard on the lever that’s used for a solenoid my idle drops down to near normal. The linkage is disconnected and the idle screw is all the way out. The throttle shaft has a minor amount of fuel leaking around the drivers side. Not sure if...

    Center carb vacuum question

So I have the famous high idle problem on my 440 six pack. I’ve been reading as many threads as I can find to trouble shoot, but so far no luck. My question is about the center carb vacuum ports. The top one is connected to the distributor advance and provides vacuum when the engine is rev’d. I...

Six pack kick down linkage Length

Thanks but I decided to go with the cable. My car is far from original and it sounds like the adjustment process is easier with the cable. I appreciate the response.

    Lokar kickdown bracket

Does anyone know of a source for a 440 6 pack Lokar kickdown cable mounting bracket? I contacted Lokar and they do not stock them for the 6 pack.

Six pack kick down linkage Length

Thanks for the reply. I just sent an inquiry to Lokar regarding a cable system. I’m starting to think the cable might be a simpler solution, but I might be interested in your 6pac setup.

Six pack kick down linkage Length

Thanks. The view straight down gives me a good look at how long the link to the carb needs to be. So far the only repro parts I’ve seen are REALY expensive but I’ll try looking for trans specialists.

Six pack kick down linkage Length

Installing a 440 6 pk clone in a 1967 Charger (originally had a 383 4bbl). I’m having trouble fitting the original kick down linkage to the six pack. Can someone provide the dimensions shown in the photos for a 6pk? The carb to pivot distance must be shorter than it was for the 383 and the...
