The truth is, weld through primers are very easy to spray, and often harder to weld to. I've tried a few ( by no means an expert) and the results were, meh.

Good stuff sir. Also, if it's just a rewire, like a harness, all you may need to do is drop the column, pull the wheel...then remove the old harness male end one pin at a line the thread it back through the column. Take the new harness, and wrap the wires to make it easier to go back the same...
.....been there, and in truth it depends on the seal issue you are having.....old seals will take a stop leak and may slow down a bit or totally for a while, but will return. A newly installed seal, like mine, required a oil pan drop and review of the lip-ring seal....which was a bit out of...
