68 Charger with Sniper. The 10 micron filter was leaking. Its Holley 162-550.
After removing and draining all fuel I blew through the filter to check for restriction. It felt restricted/clogged. I had another exact filter, blew through it, and it felt normal. So I installed the different...
I removed the carb, Proform 850 DP, from my GTX for a clean up. I have not driven this car for almost a year so I wanted to clean everything up before engine start. With carb on the bench I removed the bowls, jets, and bleeds to shoot some carb cleaner through the passages. I did not disassemble...
There is no fuel mat in either tank. The fuel pumps in each tank are in an enclosure to ensure positive fuel flow in various conditions such as acceleration, deceleration, turns, etc. There is no sump; The pumps are sitting on the bottom of the tank. The GTX tank has only the pump enclosure. I...
My GTX has 440/496. I run a Proform 850 double pumper. I run an in-tank aeromotive stealth 340. A new stock tank was modified to work with this pump. Regulator is Aeromotive 13204. Fuel lines are hard lines. Pressure side is 3/8 and return is 1/2. I use -6 and -8 AN fittings and hose to hook...
I recomend Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. I use the Aeromotive 13204 in my carburated GTX with an intank Aeromotive 340 pump. Been in there for over 10 years. I used the same regulator in my Charger when I had a carb (changed over to Sniper on this car) Used the Walbro 255 pump for that...
I bought the base plate from a gentlemen in Texas. I don't remember his name. He posts on Moparts site. He makes custom base plates. I had to modify the one he sent me. I needed to remove about 3/4 inch of material from carb mount area. I think it was designed for a B engine.
It can be done I run a Holley Street Avenger intake with Proform 850DP carb. 69 GTX with factory air grabber 440 block.
On my car I have a custom fiberglass base that lowers the carb and air cleaner just enough to get the stock hood to close.
I run a proform 850 DP in my 69 GTX.
440/496, street car, 4 speed, Eddy heads, Holley SD intake, 9.7:1 comp, roller cam 242/248 .600. 1 7/8 header into 3 inch exhaust.
Dyno 570 hp and 630 torque. HP all in at 5400 RPM and torque all in at 4400 RPM
This combo runs great. No issues with this...
I have a Wallbro 255 in my Charger with Sniper. I have the fuel tank out to facilitate other maintenance (fuel leak). Anyway the car has been idle for two years now due to upgrades. When I removed the tank there was a very small amount of what used to be fuel. Gum and varnish also in the tank...
The possibility exists but its remote that the fittings are leaking. When everything was together and I first noticed a leak I went under the car and did a visual. The lines are well above the gaskets and I could see them clearly. I saw no fuel on the fittings. I believe the fuel is coming from...
Copy all on the RTV.
I used new gaskets. The ones that came with the tank. Justin at Tanksinc sent me a link for "premium" gaskets. I will order and try those. He also told me most likely cause for leak was tank vent issues. This tank was vented and as far as I can tell vents were good. One vent...
I put a new TanksInc tank in my Charger a few years ago. This tank has an in-tank electric pump so there are two openings at top of tank. I noticed leaks almost immediately. Leaking at fuel sending unit and fuel pump opening. Sending unit and fuel pump installed per TankInc instructions. I used...
