Not so quick.. The total time for the project was almost 2 weeks. The motor had already been built. I needed 2 days to strip and paint the engine bay and they took the balance of time to install, test and check the new motor.. As far as the right foot goes... OH WOW! When I drove it...

The old unit is long gone... Since the unit that is in there now is relatively new, I don't think the float is leaking, but that could be possible. As for the float arm being too long, I like that as a better possibility. If someone out there has a NOS or an original sending unit that is out...
