I found that if you over tighten the lock ring the sender will be loose. There are some stops on the tank that the lock ring is supposed to lock into. Make sure lock ring isn't past the stops.

Thanks, the car is already converted to Mopar electronic ignition and running fine. What I'm looking for is a wire diagram so we can possibly eliminate some of the old wiring from the Lean Burn. Kind of a rat harness of wires that aren't used.
