I doubt you can go wrong or will be disappointed with either firm feel or borgeson.
I switched from manual steering to a borgeson box. The box fit like it should, the coupler they make is a damn nice unit and comes with a good drill bit to drill the shaft with. It was a days work for me but I...

What are your goals? How much will you drive it? Any racing or just to church and cruise ins?
I have a Hotchkis TVS and love it. My car is a daily driver that I like to push a little harder than needed as it is a toy after all. A thousand may not be a lot but you could...
What will you be using the car for? That will dictate the level of suspension mods you need.
If you just want to cruise go with just a solid rebuild, either offset upper control arm bushings or new upper control arms like PST or Firm Feel, sub frame connectors and torque boxes, and sway bars...
I went with a Hotchkis TVS and larger torsion bars. My car is lowered a little over an inch all the way around and with the stiffer torsion bars I get nowhere near the bump stops.
If you want to stay with the stock equipment there are offset upper control arm bushings my Moog that will help...
I have the TVS on my first gen Charger and love it. I have over a year of daily driving on it and love it. The car has been down for the last getting upgrades to the brakes, rims tires, and a rebuilt motor with complete exhaust and hopefully power steering. I used plenty of the assembly lube and...
There is a 69 Dart on Pro Touring Mopar that is getting a full Viper setup to include engine and trans. It is a work in progress but is really nice.

I love my car. The TVS really made the car handle great and that was on stock 225/70/14's. I now have my brakes and 18" rims on (but not back on the road). Once it is back on the road I will be able to take corners better. Everyone that has ridden in it has commented on how well it handles.
I have them on my car and spend a year on the road (down for more upgrades) and haven't noticed any wear. I am in Oklahoma and drive the car daily when it is on the road to include rain.
If you are not in a hurry why not look for someone that wants to trade you their manual setup for your power setup? Columns, steering box, the whole shebang.
I have PST poly bushings. I used lots of the assembly lube and they do not squeek.
A couple of them I had to take out and put more lube on as they squeeked at first. Now everything is good.
If you really want modern car feel you will have to switch to coil overs. If you want it to perform you can use the stock suspension and just do bolt ons. Bigger T bars, sway bars, all new bushings, better tie rods and ends etc. Budget and ultimate goal will matter. Alot can be done cheapely.
