It was in the 60s today here in Southeast Michigan. Cruising around, I noticed this 69 RT Charger sitting in a bar parking lot. Seeing the empty spot next to it, I pulled in and took a picture.
I picked up a piece of translucent glass from an old gas pump. I used a nice piece of wood to make a box for it. I had an under the counter fluorescent light that I had picked up cheap at an estate sale. I pulled the guts out of the plastic case, and mounted them right in the box.
It was my first year in high school. Got out of class around 1pm and ran the mile back home to watch the weekday games. Fantastic series with the Tigers becoming the very first team to win the series after being down 3 games to 1. Last time a pitcher (and quite probably the absolutely last time)...
Those of you that are not from the Detroit area would not know this, but the phrase “sock it to em Tigers“ was huge here during that time. So for the ad, they changed it to beep beep it to em Tigers. I may be wrong about this, but I think it was started by a local TV news sportscaster

One one side of this gas pump shaped keychain is a wheel you turn to match gallons of gas used with miles traveled. On the other side is the calculated mpg.
I came across this 1969 Detroit Tigers score book at an estate sale. I called a friend who collects Tiger stuff to see if he wanted it, and he said sure pick it up for me. There are about a half dozen car ads in it. I thought you guys would find this one interesting.
So dadsbee, did you get any kind of verification with your tag attesting it was correct for that vin? If you did, I can understand why they wanted all the paperwork. If you didn’t, then, in a way, I don’t understand all the fuss. I can understand why reputable people wouldn’t want to hand out...
What I am trying to say is IMHO very few Mopar classic car owners actually have a broadcast sheet. The assembly plants did not even require that every car leave the plant with one. You are one of the lucky ones that has one
