Starter is Kaput.

Fresh rebuild only thing left is the original block. when the starter was on the old build it would hard crank when it was hot

What would cause my starter to bind up? When I turn the key it cranks really hard like the timing is off but, it isn’t and when it’s hot it’s even worse it’s an aftermarket high torque starter (no idea what brand because I can’t find any markings)
