I have a quad intake for a 440 here somewhere, to be honest, i didn't think many in the Mopar family ever used them anymore lol. I MIGHT have a spacer in the garage if it will work for you there secret.

I agree with Hemi, It sounds like you have an adjustment out. another thing to check would be the button or whatever is used to depress the shifter so as to move it to one gear or another, It could be maybe locked up or stuck a little preventing it from moving?

Ive always use Carter and Eddy for SB engines in my cars with great luck.. I had a 750 Holly if i remember right on a 383 and it worked great.. And i do have to agree with above poster, If you know how to tune them, there all good. I can tune my Eddys and Carters pretty good but seem to do...
At one point in time i thought they were supposed to leak lol.. had more then one that did. These Mopars can and are ive found to be some real patience testers.. The cracked O-ring sounds a lot familiar and would start there myself if thats where its leaking. Good luck, there worth the extra...
Ive seen them go here for as low as 200 and up from there, it is a nice clean trans, inside and out. I would have to think as good as shape its in that 400 + wouldn't be out of line, if someone wants one. whats the thing about the tail shaft though looks like its for b or E, im not seeing...
Good you have it figured out, i was thinking it could have just had a piece of dirt in the carb that did work out, i had that happen and carb cleaner seemed to fix it.. And im still working out "the hasn't been run in a long time thing"! lol..
This is an excellent thread! I have that manual you said in your first post, I was glad to see its a manual worth having if needed... Its not hear right now and hoping it has some information on having the kick down cable correct.. Thanks again for this valuable info..
