looking for a good 727 trans to put in my 73 road runner that will hold up to a mod 440 engine thanks all

hey any one know the cheapest way to ship a 727 trany ? rod i contacted him n he says they want 200-300 to ship that seems like alot any one have any ideas oh thats through yellow freight???

do you have a big block 727 now? a stock tranny will handle the power. I used a truck tranny with the short tail shaft from a big block, and the 318 tranny with the correct tail shaft that came out of my car. Had a tranny shop rebuilt the big block transmission with the correct longer tail shaft, 550 bucks and 3 days later I had a rebuilt tranny in my garage.

still looking for a 727 shipping is more than the trans but might have found one
