I’m looking to put a 3” stainless (hopefully) exhaust on my 64 sport fury. It will be headers back. Typical for the early b bodies, no one makes a complete exhaust besides tti. I’m looking for stainless which I don’t think tti offers. Companies like Pypes, Magnaflow, etc sell exhaust systems for...
Fricken headers on b bodies! Nothing is consistent! I bought 1 3/4” Doug’s for my 64. Absolute nightmare. Other people say they fit great. I was planning on now using TTi because of the good reputation but after seeing some of the posts above I don’t even know what’s a good choice anymore. Seems...
I have their cutouts in my 64. One started leaking after two years. Called the company asking for new o rings. Sent in a couple days free. Still didn’t work so they replaced the whole mechanism for free for me. No proof of purchase or anything. Great service.
I have the 451 on my 383 in a 64 Plymouth. They are for the low deck. Still had to give them some pretty good wacks with a hammer and torch to clear pitman arms and so they weren’t touching even a mini starter. The 452 are for tall decks and must be longer tubes since the heads would sit higher...
My starter is damn close (like 1/4 of clearance) but never had issues with it cranking over even after a long running period. Maybe I can thank the ceramic coating for this? I didn’t have steering box issues but both pitman arm areas had to be dinged significantly. The engine will rock when...
That’s good to know. I was seriously debating the RB dougs fenderwell headers but no one at the company could tell me if they would fit or not on a B block.
I chose dougs over TTi for my 383, that was a mistake. for the extra couple hundred I will be choosing TTI next time. had to bash the hell out of my dougs 1 3/4" and I don't even have power steering. Just my experience on my 64 Plymouth.
If you don’t want to cut up a set Doug’s has some Fenderwell options
