That wasn't bad at all.
Step one, insert rods into new adjuster holes before installing the springs. Make sure they go all the way in. I had one hole with burrs in it, only gave me about 50% depth. No bueno. Little Dremel work...fixed.
I also inserted each rod (I ordered them with the...
So, my workshop door has a broken spring.
My garage has 4 single-car doors total - built like a bank barn, it has 3 doors on the lower level, and one on the upper level. This upper level is my workshop, and where I park my work truck as well as keep my pro audio equipment. This upper door is...
Oil just "sitting" in an engine, absorbs environmentals - humidity, dust, pollutants. These are not sealed systems, they breathe.
I have air-cooled motorcycles. If you don't run the engine up to operating temperature, and keep it there long enough, the oil turns into a "milkshake".
This...
Wow, that's the size of one of my motorcycles! If I did more air-tool work that'd be a score! Little much for my (amateur) needs though...thanks for the digging though :)
So, my large compressor sh*t the bed today. It's old - like 25 years old - and I didn't spend a lot to get it in the first place. 110v, nothing special...but the only thing I had that will inflate my 265/70-17 truck tires (Ram 2500) to 80psi in less than a day and a half. I have a little pancake...
I have a tan quilted one on my Daytona (covercraft, maybe?) that I bought about 20 years ago. It's been indoor and outdoor used, holding up very well...until this year, when I put a finger through it, spreading it out on the car for the winter. I think I got my money's worth.
The key to outdoor...
So, I have one set already that I got at Carlisle years ago. Looking to get another set (mainly because where I have to put one of the cars for the winter, I can't get one side out...and I'll need to move another car after that one). HF has them as low as $99/ea...I'd swear I paid much less than...
1. Peel and stick, after a healthy dose of brakleen to degrease all the surfaces. You get it in rolls.
2. Regular ol' paint, mixed with playground sand. Again, healthy dose of brakleen before application. Add a couple/few cups of sand to a gallon of paint, mix well, and roll it on. I'd suggest...
I'm curious - are you going to notch out the uprights at the garage door, to make room for the header? It needs to sit on not just one, but three, on each side...and your uprights seem to go from footer-to-roof?
Nice looking progress!
Very cool stuff.
My garage(mahal) is built as a bank barn design. Facing the house, I have 3 single-bay doors, each one is 2 cars deep. Above that, I have an unfinished 2 bedroom apartment - subfloor, bare studs, enough electric for lighting and workbench outlets, no ceiling, no insulation...
My drive is about 1000' from road to house; another 500 to the garage. It was gravel when I bought the house in '11. The owner was a contractor who built it for himself - he overbuilt EVERYTHING, but he never paved the driveway because he had graders.
I...have motorcycles, and toy cars. I...
