Who here does body work & paint in a one bay shop ? This is all new to me. I am use to having a bay to do body work in & a closed off bay for painting.
ok here is what is going on my tank is outside when i ordered fuel they asked me if my tank is outside i said yes they were suppose to put in some thing so it wouldnt freeze well it didnt work going to work on it monday and see what i have to do to fix it
Its an old oil furnace. It starts up runs for about 2-4 minuts then shuts off. Looking for something to get my by for the winter. Once i get this job done i will have the money to repair or replace it. Cant have any thing with open flame. The furnace is in a separate room.
OK When I bought the house the inspector said that the "new 200 amp panel in the house w/ the 100 amp breaker & wire coming from that to the 1st garage & subpanel was OK. So what im gonna do is replace the wire from the 1st garage to the 2nd garage. Its about 30-35 feet between the garages...
The solid copper wire is going to a ground rod. I have to install a second one. Didn't know I needed 2. I would replace the 100 amp breaker with a 50 or 60 breaker but the wire is to big & will not fit into them. I don't want to dig up that wire if I don't have to.
The house was built in the 50s not sure when they rain the under ground wires. The 3 wire coming from the house to the first garage is the same type of wire going from the first garage to the second garage.
Yea its around 15 ft from house to 1st garage around 30 ft from 1st garage to 2nd. The wire that's already under ground will not fit 50 or 60 amp breakers at least the ones I found That's why I need to use a 100 amp breaker
The under ground wire between the 2 garages is a big gray wire. Inside that wire is 1 bare wire, 2 black wires, 1 w/ a red stripe. All 3 wires are aluminum. I am only thinking of using a 100 amp breaker in the 1st sub panel is because that size wire will only fit a 100 amp breaker. Not a 60...
Yes in series. There is the house then the first garage then the 2nd garage. All within 30 feet of one another. 1st garage 2 bays 7 foot ceilings & 1/2 dirt floor 2nd garage 1 bay
Sorry I have 200 amp panel in the house. I have a 100 amp breaker in it w/ a 100 amp wire going to a 100amp sub panel. question is can I add a 100 amp breaker to that sub panel to feed another sub panel in a 2nd garage
Had to sell dads house & garage. Bought a house w/ smaller garage & in need of wiring, new sub panel. The works. I know just enough about wiring to get the job done. Im just not that sure about adding the wires to the sub panel from the sockets & switches. I can post some pics if it helps...
ebay under Chicago electric spot welder electrodes they come in 6 8 10 12 in long they are expensive I just measured the length I needed & bought the cheapest ones & cut to length I needed
yep I spot welded two pieces then clamped one end in a bench vise & the other end to my hydraulic puller. It took a couple of times to get the right weld for a really good hold. What I mean is how long to hold the electrodes together & how tight. If that makes sense. Do some test panels...
