Call around locally for windshield replacement companies. Many of them can have custom made windshields for pretty much any car. For used you might look to a Cordoba for a replacement.
Agreed, I know my 78 with a 400 was 9 1/4. If it is 9 1/4 than save yourself the effort of changing it unless you plan on NHRA(Cclip axles) sanctioned drag racing there is no reason a 9 1/4 wont hold up to as much power as an 8 3/4.
Like I said I used the ES mounts on my 78 Doba and the skinny front ones are a PITA to get in. Im thinking that the Prothane ones you will have to drop the entire k member to get them in an that means drooping the suspension. ES probably recognized this and designed their mounts to be installed...
I put the energy on my 78 Cordoba. The rears go in fairly easy the fronts are a pita. You will need a long pry bar and a budy on the fronts to get them in without having to unbolt the front suspension.
When I had mine the biggest problem was finding body panels. Had there been body panels available to replace, I am sure new body plugs would have been nice to have. Theses cars As far as rubber goes I'm sure tail-light seals, trunk seals, header panel gasket hood mounted turn signal gasket...
Nope. I sent a good running 78 cordoba to the crusher for that very reason. Was not worth the extensive amount of custom fab rust repair it would take to bring it back. I did ascertain that the trunk panels that they repop for the previous gen would work if you use a gas tank from that body...
Let me check tonight. I may have one laying around I had 2 when I sent the cordoba to the crusher but cant recall if I kept one or sent it with the car.
